What reports are for
Reports help you summarize performance, compare content, review campaigns, and share results with teammates or stakeholders where export options are available. In Flikly, the Reports area under Analytics lets you create custom reports from templates, add widgets such as charts and KPI cards, and open a report viewer to review generated data for a selected period.
Use reports when you need a packaged view beyond a live dashboardâespecially for recurring reviews, client updates, or internal check-ins. What you can export or share depends on your plan and the options shown in the app.
Open reports
- 1Sign in to Flikly.
- 2Open Analytics from the navigation.
- 3Choose Reports or the reporting view where available.
- 4Select the date range, platform, or content filters available in your workspace.
- 5Review the report before exporting.
- 6Export or download the report using the available option.
From Reports, you can create a new report, start from a system template, or open an existing report to view or edit it. The report viewer includes a date range picker and may show an executive summary plus widgets you configured in the report builder. Use Export, Share, or Story Mode when those actions appear for your report.
Choose the right report view
Custom reports can combine widgets that reflect different parts of your analytics workflow. When planning a report, consider which view best matches your goal:
Dashboard summary
A quick overview of recent performanceâuseful for high-level reviews before drilling into posts or platforms.
Post-level performance
Individual post metrics and comparisons where supported, aligned with Analytics Posts views.
Platform performance
Compare activity across connected platforms when platform filters and breakdowns are available.
Audience insights
Audience patterns, demographics, or behavior widgets where your plan and platforms provide data.
Campaign or date-range view
A focused period such as a launch week, month, or custom range using the date range picker and report filters.
The report builder includes a widget library with charts, tables, metrics, media, and text blocks. Pick widgets that match the story you want to tell, then preview the layout before you save or export.
Filter before exporting
Before exporting, confirm the scope of the report:
- Date range for the reporting period
- Platform or destination account
- Post status (published, scheduled, etc.) where filters apply
- Campaign or content grouping where available in the report builder
- Metric type or widget focus (engagement, reach, impressions, etc.)
- Timezone and how dates are interpreted for the selected range
- Workspace or team context where multiple workspaces apply
Regenerate or refresh the report after changing filters so the export reflects the same period and platforms you reviewed on screen. Saved report filters and the date range in the viewer should align before you share results externally.
Review report accuracy
Reports depend on available platform data, permissions, reporting delays, and the selected date range. Totals may update when platforms process more activity or when you change filters and regenerate the report.
Platform-native metrics may differ because each network updates and defines metrics differently. Treat exports as summaries of what Flikly received for the filters you choseânot as a guarantee of exact parity with every native app view.
Availability by plan and platform
Export and reporting options can depend on:
- Your Flikly plan and enabled Analytics features
- Connected platform and permissions
- Available metrics from each provider
- Report type (template, custom, or scheduled listing where shown)
- Date range and whether the report has been generated recently
- Which export or share actions appear in the report viewer for your account
The Reports gallery may include tabs such as All, Templates, Custom, and Scheduled. If a tab or action is empty, your workspace may not have that capability enabled yet. Analytics Overview and Posts also include Export controls in some viewsâtheir availability follows the same plan and data constraints.
Common issues
