When you connect a platform, you approve access on that platform’s own permission screen. What you see—and what Flikly can do afterward—depends on the platform, your account type, and the features you use.

Why permissions vary by platform

Every platform controls its own permission screen and rules. Flikly requests access based on the platform and the actions you want to perform, such as preparing content, publishing posts, selecting pages or channels, or viewing performance where supported.

Two platforms rarely ask for the same options in the same way. That is normal—and it does not mean something is wrong with your Flikly account.

Actual permissions vary by platform, account type, and the features you use.

Permission categories you may see

Account or profile access

Used to identify which account you connected so the right profile appears in Flikly.

Publishing access

Used when you schedule or publish content through Flikly on your behalf.

Page, channel, or workspace access

Used when a platform separates personal accounts from pages, channels, boards, communities, or organizations.

Media upload access

Used when a platform requires media to be uploaded before a post can be published.

Analytics or performance access

Used where supported to help you review performance, depending on the platform and your plan.

Why a page, channel, board, or community may be missing

  • The connected account may not have admin or manager access.
  • The wrong account may have been selected during authorization.
  • The platform may not return every asset to third-party tools.
  • The platform may require additional permissions or account verification.
  • The page, channel, board, or community may be restricted, archived, removed, or unavailable.
  • Your workspace role or Flikly plan may limit what you can access.

Connecting vs publishing

A platform can show as connected in Flikly but still fail to publish when required access was not granted or the destination cannot accept the post.

  • Required permissions were not granted on the platform permission screen.
  • The selected account, page, or channel does not allow publishing.
  • Content does not meet platform requirements for format, size, or duration.
  • The platform requires app review, account eligibility, or provider-side approval.
  • The platform temporarily rejects or limits an action.
  • Your Flikly plan does not support that workflow for the platform you selected.

How to fix permission problems

  1. 1Reconnect the platform from Integrations.
  2. 2Confirm you are signed in to the correct external platform account.
  3. 3Review the permission screen carefully.
  4. 4Select the correct page, channel, board, community, organization, or instance.
  5. 5Confirm your role on the external platform.
  6. 6Check the content format before publishing.
  7. 7If the issue continues, contact support with the platform, destination account or page, and the visible error message.

Common issues

Why is Flikly asking for publishing permission?
Publishing permission is needed when you want Flikly to schedule or publish posts on your behalf. Without it, preparation may work but publishing will not.
Why does my company page not appear?
Confirm your role on the external platform and reconnect using the account that manages the page, channel, or organization.
Why did I connect successfully but cannot publish?
Check content format, destination access, platform requirements, and your Flikly plan. Connection alone does not guarantee every publish action will succeed.
Can I approve fewer permissions?
Some platforms let you choose, but removing required permissions may limit scheduling, publishing, or analytics in Flikly.
Why do permissions look different by platform?
Each platform controls its own permission model. Flikly requests what is needed for the features you use on that platform.
What should I send support if permissions fail?
Send the platform name, destination page, channel, or account, time of attempt, and the exact error message shown in Flikly or on the platform screen.
